Online Service
This online service allows Maine state agencies to submit public improvement project request applications with the Maine Bureau of General Services. The Bureau charges
no fee for processing your application. Once your application has been submitted, you will be able to log-in to check the application status. Typically, an application has an initial review within three business days. If the Bureau requires more information in your application, this will be indicated in your application status and you will be able to provide the information online.
Who can use this service?
Any State of Maine agency considering a public improvement project needs approval from the Bureau of General Services. You must have the authorization of your agency head for your request in order to complete your application. When you submit your application, an email will automatically be sent to the agency head for authorization. The application will not be reviewed by BGS until authorization is provided by that individual through the online system.
What you will need:
- Applicant contact phone number and email address
- General project information, including location, description, rationale, cost estimate, and other known details
- The name and email address for the head of your agency/department, who can provide authorization for your application
